Born in South Africa, Bridgette recently emigrated with her family to New Zealand. Having worked in the Middle East and Europe, she has also travelled widely, including U.S, Asia, and Southern Africa
She started her career as PR liaison with a Wildlife film crew in the Emirates, then moved to England where she was part of a wireless technology team developing and marketing the early versions of Bluetooth. Her love for Africa took her back to her roots where she met her husband. Together they decided to escape to Okavango Delta to run a lodge for a two-year sabbatical.
Upon their return to Johannesburg, Bridgette and her husband started their own film and production agency, with a niche focus on South African corporates who had social development budgets but not necessarily the resource to explore, develop and invest them. From project managing the initiatives to filming, documenting and then promoting them, they worked with local not-for-profits, government agencies and community leaders to develop sustainable solutions for the benefit and upliftment of the areas within with they worked.
Bridgette enjoys big picture thinking and is always ready for a challenge, she joined the Blue Ocean team as Marketing Manager, working with tourism and B2B clients.
