New owners Robyn and Graeme are not just new to the motel, but new to the industry. Leaving behind gridlocked Auckland for glorious Taupō was a shift in lifestyle as much as it was a geographic move. Removing the incumbent revenue from being in the Choice Group of hotels meant that Cascades had to stand on its own two feet from day one.
Once research, analysis and strategy were complete, the first step was a creative rebrand to develop an identity for the motel. A new digital experience was created to harness the impact of Cascades new branding as well as deliver a seamless online booking process. Coupled with this, the marketing team story-wrapped the motel through campaigns and seasonal content, amplified through digital channels to increase bookings.
